Minami Senju > Marunouchi > Tokyo > Shibuya

Today we started late because yesterday the stores showed that they opened at 10am or later. We grabbed some breakfast before we took the JR train to the Central Tokyo Area. We first went to Marunouchi [Financial district] exchange more of our monies but we couldn't find it so instead we went to the Imperial Palace. Well, we didn't really go to it.. more like the garden and outside of it since we were not allowed inside the Palace as you can see from the pictures. Next we walked back and took the train to central Tokyo and then next to Shibuya with the shopping district and whatnot. There wasn't much to take pictures of over there because they were all stores and nothing else. We went to some stores and bought some things but it wasn't that great because it was filled with young people and the streets were always crowded.

After that we grabbed lunch and took the train back. It wasn't that exciting because we're both not fans of shopping or whatnot but Cathy was taking pictures of billboards of her favorite bands and whatnot.

We returned to the hostel at 7ish after we bought slushies? and food.

My lemon slush icee thingie

It's sweet than sour which was a kind of disappointment but it's still good.

Tokyo > Minami-Senju > Akihabara > Taito > Asakusa > Ueno

From Tokyo
From Tokyo

Today started at 7am when we woke up. We decided to go to Akihabara and got on the train which only took a few minutes. We walked around but most stores weren't open yet. It was about 930 when we got there. We went to this electronic store that had seven floors just for different electronics and stuff. Then we went to this Book-Off but it wasn't that great. Next we went to Asakusa and walked around. We went to some temple but didn't go inside and then we walked to this area that sold things for restaurants and then we walked to this area with different stores that was two mission blocks in diameter. We walked to the end of the store area and into the park where we went to the Senjio Temple and the Asakusa Temple. After that we went to walk to the Asakusa Train Station [Ginza] to go to Ueno but we only went to the park because I was getting tired of walking so much and it was freakin' hot.
It was around 32C and we sweated a lot.
What else? After walking around the park we went back to the hotel and showered. We got back around 630pm? And now it's a bit chilly with a really nice breeze.

Tokyo

I took more pictures than Cathy and you'll see repeats because I uploaded my pictures first and then the pictures that Cathy took. And I was too lazy to correct the pictures to stand up straight instead of side ways =)

So now we're back at the hotel and relaxing and resting after a nice mildly cold shower. Good times.
I don't quite know what we're doing tomorrow but we might go to central Tokyo.

We have Arrived

It was a 10h20 odd minute flight. There was nothing to do but to eat and
sleep and watch movies. We had chicken/beef with mash, corn, and peas.
Then we had a chocolate ice cream sandwich then we had breakfast which
was eggs with sausages and um... potatoes. I didn't throw up or anything
like people expected. I just got a little bit dizzy whenever we would
tip or turn but the turbulence was fine.
I didn't take any pictures because I was too busy finding where our
Hotel was. It was a little less than a 2 hour ride from Narita to
Nippori and then we had to take another train to Minami Senju and then
we had to walk in circles to find our stupid Hotel. We had to go up a
pedestrian walkway and drag up the suitcases. So troublesome. But we're
here now and it's freakin' hot and I already miss San Francisco Weather =_=

That is all... for now

One More Day

So I had Cathy, Dany, and Sophia come over after we exchanged our monies at the bank. Which reminds me that we had to go to four different Wells Fargo to get our money exchanged. The first Wells Fargo that we went to said they might not have enough Yen for us to exchange and told us to go to another one. So we started walking from ChinaTown to Downtown to the one on One Market. That Wells Fargo only had big bills so she told us to go to the one on 2nd and Grant. There wasn't really one on 2nd and Grant so we walked around to one on Montgomery which was going through reconstruction or whatever and they said their Foreign Exchange wasn't in service so he sent us to 420 Montgomery. We walked around until we came upon the fourth and Final Wells Fargo and got our money exchanged =_= finally. geez.

It was nice walking exercise I suppose but geez! Four Wells Fargo until we reached our goal. And why would they have so many Wells Fargo so close to each other.

So they came over to my house and helped me pack. I'm bringing a small suitcase, a carry-on, and a purse that can fit my Lenovo. I'm ready but I'm not ready. I'm getting those stomach jitters whenever I get nervous. I just want to get it over with flying on the plane so I wouldn't feel like I have to go to the bathroom when I really don't have to haha.

Uh... what else? Well, when I get there I promise to upload all my pictures and others as soon as possible. And um.. what else? I don't
know, I can't really think straight right now.

How to make time go by faster? At least for now

Two More Days

Well, kind of but not really since it's the wee hours of the day and I'm
still not ready yet. I have the clothes packed and bought motion
sickness drugs and that's pretty much it. I have to find a converter
that does the three prong to two prong outlet and I have to pack shoes
and necessities and.... toiletries.. among other things.

It kind of sucks because I am working on Sunday [today] when I wanted it
off to do my other things but no... boss man had to be a poo and make me
work that day. He even wrote in my schedule that I'm working on
Wednesday and Saturday when I have told him many times that I'm leaving
on the 28th.
Smart Cookie....

What else?
Nothing much really... I'm ready but I'm not ready. Just great =/

We Show Our Love Through Our Hate

Most people insult each other to show their true feelings.
But then at the work place we insult each other just for the fun of it.
Sometimes when there aren't that many customers or no customers at all
we just poke fun at each other just to pass time. People can joke around
with each other when they truly care for each other without someone
getting offended or when you have that kind of relationship.
People can't insult each other for fun when they are too high strung or
they really don't like the other party. Although sometimes it's fun to
make fun of customers. Sometimes we know which customers we can mess
around with and they would join in with the laugh and sometimes there
are customers who truly get offended. What jerks... can't take a joke.

But then there's hate hate and that's just wrong.

Six More Days

The days are counting down and I'm feeling a bit restless. It still
doesn't seem real but I know it's coming. Haha, sounds kind of ominous.

The rate of Yen is kind of going up but the place that we went to
exchange was 89 instead of 93 as it said on the website which is odd. We
didn't exchange the money but we might have to sooner or later.
I haven't even packed any of my stuff but Cathy did and said that even
though she planned to bring very little she ended up with a rather full
suitcase. I'm not certain if I want to bring a duffel bag or a suitcase. =/

Uh... what else?
I don't know. I'm just restless and needing something to do to pass the
time instead of lying around doing nothing in particular. I know I said
it seemed like a busy week but those things only take a few hours of the
day and then I'm left with nothing to do but go on the computer and
staring at [most of the time] a blank screen.

Eight More Days

The countdown begins although it doesn't seem like I have a lot of time
left to do anything. I'm working Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. I
think there's a dinner happening on Thursday and then on Friday I'm
taking Mom to the deYoung Museum to see King Tut.
One of these days I'm going to have to exchange my money, depending on
the rate of exchange. I didn't even pack yet and I'm not in the right
mind set for this trip yet. It seems unreal still and I have eight days
to go.
